Hey Tyler, I'm sorry to say I haven't yet heard any of your solo songs. But yesterday I was watching Audio A's Adios & Farewell Consert DVD's. I'm happy that you're still doing music, but I still miss Audio Adrenaline. Do you still talk to Mark, Ben & Will? How are they doing? I hope you are all feeling good! God Bless you Tyler, Keep ROCKIN'!!!
Right now I am using a barber burn unit, a zvex distortron, a vintage expandora for overdrive/fuzz a memory man a DL-4, a boss rv-5 and a voodoo lab tremelo. That is what I am using on my board that I fly with but I swap pedals in and out depending on the project I am working on. There are a million ways to get to the same sound. I try not to over think it. :)
Hey Aaron (Sept. 30, 2010 post), Tyler current pedals can be seen at the following link: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_n58DapP6l4I/S6jTVRgTtfI/AAAAAAAAATY/VAdUPv8eTDs/s1600-h/IMG_2307.JPG Looks like he's got a Pedaltrain PT-Pro pedalboard, Boss RV-5, Line 6 DL4, Quicksilver delay, Boss TU-2, possibly a Maxon compressor, Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+, Voodoo Labs Tremolo, and the other items I cannot identify.
hey, I've been listening to Audio A for quite a while and picked up the guitar several years back. Now I can honestly understand the musical genius you put forth with that band. What kind of amps, foot gear, and guitars did you primarily use? I'd love to hear back from you. Your tone is...to be precise. THE BEST
really love your songs, especially carry you with me,
hey, looking forward to you putting out another album and maybe even touring a little bit. darling, maybe someday is one of my favorites.
Thanks for a great show tonight in Birmingham! I really enjoyed it. I got your CD. Will be listening to it tomorrow. Thanks again, and hope to see you again soon.
Hey Tyler! Just wanted to say, it was awesome to meet you, Mat & jane last night before my friend and I headed home. Carry you with me is one of my all time fav. songs and top 25 most played! You are a talented musician with incredible lyrics that have alot of depth and to meet you all was incredible. Hope you continue to produce more music! Chera
Also, I'm going to come watch you and Mat at the Taste of Chicago at the end of June. :)
Tyler, your music is so beautiful. I was just randomly thinking of you today and looked you up. I'm so happy to see everything seems to be taking off for you. I hope you're well. Arun
Just found your album today on Itunes. Bought it. Amazing! This is one of the best albums I've bought in a long time. Please make more.
just discovered you today through a mutual friend via the simpleville site. listened to a couple of songs - SOLD. bought full album on iTunes. easy decision! can't wait to dig into the songs. thanks, man.
Hi Tyler, I just wanted to let you know that I really think you are an incredible singer and guitar player. I didn't start listening to Audio Adrenaline until about 3 years ago when someone I knew gave me a copy of Until My Heart Caves In and that album blew me away, mainly because of your vocals and guitar playing. Since then I have purchased almost all of Audio's albums and I especially like the ones with you on guitar. I really like how your solo material has folk elements to it...very beautiful style (example: End of the Road). Anyways, just wanted to let you know that I think you're an incredible and talented musician and that God has given you the ability to play beautiful music. I hope to see you sometime live in concert.
great songs, warm and tender :) btw, is there any way to get some of the guitar chords of your songs? thanks!
Tyler Great to hear that you are truly being blessed in the industry. New songs sound awesome and are very well written. Had a question for you regarding your guitar work done with Audio A. on the "Lift" album. Not only did that album inspire me as a maturing musician back in the day, but it continues to be an incredible example of dynamic and brilliant repertoire. I frequently teach on musical tone and dynamics within worship study at YWAM. In particular, what guitar effects did you use on the "Lift" album ?
love your songs!!!!
Hi Tyler, Saw you perform with Matt Kearney last weekend at the Paramount in Oakland. You guys sounded great! Q - What model was the Gretch guitar were you playing that night? BTW - Outstanding use of the Bigsby!
Love your music!
tyler- I just caught a show in Minneapolis where you played with Matt. Man it was a joy to see you playing again. I was a longtime fan of audio a and made it to many concerts during the bands long run. Since the concert the other day, i've been listening to your music now. It's great! God's given you some amazing talent. thanks for sharing it!
Tyler - you guys were amazing tonight!!! You are an incredible musician...Can't wait till you are back in Indy again!
I love your stuff man, especially I Carry You With Me. It's helping to get me through a very very long distance relationship. See, I'm in the military, and when I finish my tour of duty, I'm going to propose to the love of my life and I'd like to play I Carry You With Me for her, but I can't figure it out myself. Could you possibly email me the guitar chords for it? I'd love you forever. (More than I already do of course...)
Tyler, my mother and I got the privilege to sit next to you on a plane ride to Nashville (8/24) it was awesome getting the chance to chat with you and now I feel like a total goof for not realizing you were in Audio Adrenaline! You truly rock dude. Thank you for being so kind. Hope to catch you play live in Florida sometime in the near future! Sincerely, Lauren P.S. Glad your guitars made it safe! (o:

Love the album. It's great to hear you still making music - I was always a huge AudioA fan and really liked what you brought to the band. Come play in College Station, Texas sometime!

Good site, admin.
Hey Tyler, Just wanted to thank you for your efforts at Easterfest. Well, I wanted to thank you and apologize a bit as well. Thankyou for being part of "the reformation". I've seen Audio Adrenaline twice before at Sonfest so I knew what was coming. That you chose to grace Australia with your presence again was both a surprise and a blessing. I have 2 teenage daughters who had never seen you before and when I heard that the band would be reforming for Easterfest '09 I knew that we had to go. It was simply a great show and with Mark's confronting message about Haiti, incredibly powerful as well. Now to part B. I wanted to apologize on behalf of my countrymen who chatted and drank coffee while you poured your heart into those songs as the final artist on the bill on Sunday night. In their defence, most of them wouldn't have had a clue who you were. Stripped of the Audio Adrenaline stadium regalia I guess you were just the last in a long line of "man and guitar" on that stage. I couldn't help feeling that we were being disrespectful to someone who has contributed so much to the Christian music scene in Oz. It was a bit bizarre really but I guess you already know more than enough about how fickle the music business can be. I know this guy. On Friday he was famous. By Sunday people didn't recognise him. Funny that should happen at Easter hey? Anyway, be assured that some of us knew who you were and some of us were listening. We were sitting right at the front on the strip of grass close enough to see the little photo and heart stickers on your guitar. My 16 year old daughter pointed them out to me as you sang "But there are some places that I really need to be, But don't you worry now because I carry you with me". Being a dad myself it was a stunningly beautiful poignant moment. Suddenly "Big House" seemed like a bit of pale fun. My daughter said "I'm glad we stayed for him Dad". I'm glad we did to. Thanks for making Toowoomba one of those "places that you really need to be". Whatever time you have lost with your kids is my family's gain. I'm sure the Lord will make it up somehow. He honours those who honour him. Thanks again Neil
Hey...I hope you are coming down to NE for Gabe's wedding. He talks about you all the time. My daughter is the bride to be. It would be great to meet you. God bless, Deb
Hi Tyler. I will make this as short and to the point as i can but hold on because it might take a second. Thanks. I started listening to AudioA when I was in the eighth grade, now I am a freshmen in college. I was sitting at home watching AudioA worldwide on DVD (it was after i had seen you in concert in Lubbock Tx with Relient K in the fall of 2004) ANyway, Will got up and gave one of the most powerful testimonies I had ever heard about how amazing God's love for us was and it introed in "leaving 99" (still my favorite song of audioa). After the intro I heard the song and God used it to put in me a thirst for him that i had never known to that degree before. It changed my world , my view of others. God, and myself. So I just wanted to say thanks. God has used you and the rest of AudioA to change my life and I am thankful that you followed after him and were willing to serve. So i guess this is probably one more testimony in probably a line of thousands that speaks of how you have taken place in the changing of a life. I just hope that whenever anything ever comes your way that knocks you down that you remember that you have and will continue to make a difference and that you just need to put your trust in God and know that he will get you through, besides " [he'd] leave 99 to find you". Thank you once again, and if there is ever anything you need from me such as prayer than please let me know. I would be honored to lift you up in prayer so I would be able to touch your life as you have mine. Oh, and the new C.D. is really good too, a change from the style of AudioA but definetly something that speaks straight from your heart and has a great feel to it. So thanks, and God bless. In Christ, Jefferson
Hey, I love your music. It caught me off-guard because of its departure from AudioA, but I decided that I really really like it. Keep it real. -Markus
Are you currently touring? We'd love to see you in Florida sometime soon!
Thank you for your music and the heart you put when you sing. I always loved the songs you sang in AA, specially Leaving 99. And this album is really great. I wish someday you could come to Colombia! God bless.
i miss you and your adorable family! i do not know if you guys are in town but the bar i work at now is looking for some music! i was wondering if your not busy you can come down and check it out!
Tyler you should come to Portland, OR ad do a show. Awesome new album, I love it. Glad you came out with a Solo, it's rad. God Bless!!
I was sitting at my computer talking to my friends about Audio A and i said how ever since i saw that last show at Creation West, i wished Tyler Burkum would do a solo album. One of them said well look him up and see what's out there. Finding it on iTunes i bought it immediately. Thanks for a wish come true, the music is spectacular. -GL
ohh men your music is...... i don´t .... well,,, some day come to Chile I am your fan mumber 1 in sudamerica...
Ever since I started listening to Audio Adrenaline a few years back, my favorite songs were the ones you sang in and wrote. Though I personally only play the Bass guitar (and soon the harmonica) in Church, I loved your guitar playing. I just recently caught sight of the songs that you've done since Audio A, so I'll be checking them out soon. God Bless you and the rest of your musical career.
It would be awesome if Tyler did some shows in Oklahoma City. I know it's Oklahoma and it's far from Minnesota but I'm sure he could attract a crowd here in OKC.
i need tyler to do some shows in Chicago, i am a twin cities native but am stuck living and working in Chicago, i would get to every show if i could
Dude, I love your music. I am an aspiring guitar player/ singer/ worship leader. I really like your style of playing and the themes of your songs. I'm a big admirer of your lyrics, simple yet powerful. I was wondering when, if ever, you were going to make tabs or chord charts of your songs, because I would love to learn how to play them. Well, God bless you, and keep doing what you're doing.
Tyler, were you supposed to play at Fine Line this past Saturday (December 11)? I know the concert was cancelled. Just wondering if it will be rescheduled.
